Abstract Submission


Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract (at least one, but no more than two full pages) in English language, no later than February 25th, 2016

The abstracts should be submitted electronically at the Conference Secretariat according to the following abstract guidelines and abstract template in doc. file.

Authors must also send the abstract submission form completed by email in doc. file.

Notification of the acceptance of papers will be send to the corresponding author by May 2016.

The full papers will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee and papers of inadequate quality will be removed from the Conference Program.


Paper Submission


Following the notification of abstract acceptance either for oral or poster presentation, all authors are requested to submit a full paper.

All papers accepted for presentation at the Conference will be included in the electronic Conference Proceedings and selected papers will also be published in International Scientific Journals.

The deadline for submission of the final paper is the 20th June, 2016 .

Each paper must not exceed 8 pages in A4 format including figures, photographs, tables, references etc. A paper, typed and edited strictly in accordance with the paper guidelines given, should be submitted electronically at the Conference Secretariat in doc.file.

Authors may freely decide to submit also light papers of 2 or 3 pages included figures, tables, references etc.

A signed copy of the Acceptance form is to be sent with the full paper submission to confirm the contribution to CRETE 2016.

Poster Presentations


Poster should be mounted by authors during the afternoon of Tuesday 27th September or the morning of Wednesday 28th September and removed on the afternoon of Friday 30th September. Conference staff will be pleased to provide all necessary fixing materials (i.e. scissors, tape, a doubled-side tape).

Each author should check on the outside list the position of the poster indicated by numbers.

Posters must be of the maximum size of (100x70cm) vertical format and printed on heavy-duty resistance paper. All authors are kindly suggested that their posters are written using large letters in order to be legible from a distance of at least one meter and the posters' size to follow the conference guidelines.


Oral Presentations


A short Curriculum Vitae of the author who is going to present the paper at the Conference should be sent to the Conference Secretariat according the template given of about 1000 characters.

For all the presenting authors, 15 - 20 minutes will be available for each presentation including potential questions ( 2 - 5 minutes) at the end of each speech. At the end of each session, further discussion coordinated by the chairman/ chairmen will be take place.

The presentations in ppt files have to be submitted to the responsible conference staff at least one day before the scheduled session. Otherwise, the presentation is needed to be sent to Conference Secretariat by email. In case the attachment file exceeds the allowance size of your server email, authors are suggested that they could use platforms for transferring large digital files to the email of Conference Secretariat.
